Passenger on easyJet flight announces that he's flying the plane to Alicante
Holidaymakers travelling on an easyJet flight to Alicante from Manchester Airport were astonished when a passenger took to the microphone in the cabin to announce HE was flying the plane. Having been told by his wife that they were facing a delay, qualified easyJet pilot Michael Bradley 'deliberately' took his licence and ID along to the airport. He made a quick call to easyJet's head office, and the airline made arrangements to allow him to fly the Airbus to their destination - meaning their holiday wasn't delayed any further. An easyJet spokesman said the incident was 'exceptional' and stressed that Michael was well-rested, having previously had four days off, and was legally permitted to fly the aircraft.
